Allan Myers will conduct the services.  Burial and graveside services will be held in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs, LA.

On May 28, 2019, our beautiful rainbow baby was sent to us, Adeline Grace Disotell was born to Mickey and Emily. She was their beautiful baby girl. She was born at 11:35 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 inches long. Her sweet head was covered with glorious, thick black hair and her skin, so sweet and soft.

It is with a very heavy heart that I must say we had to tell our sweet Addie goodbye on April 25, 2021. Though our hearts are broken, we know that our Adeline Grace had a beautiful reception in heaven. Jesus received her, arms open wide, with a host of family and friends there to greet her and love her.

She touched our hearts and lives in an incredibly special way. God has truly blessed us so much to give us Addie! Little did we know that a lifetime of love and memories would be compressed into 23 short months. Maybe that’s why everything was “Mmmm……. good!” When she hugged your neck, she held you so tight. When those beautiful blue eyes looked at you and she smiled, your heart melted.  She had a curiosity that could not be contained, whether she was climbing on her mommy’s desk or getting into her daddy’s hydraulic oil. She was a sassy ball of fire!

This small, sassy ball of fire held the spark in her mommy’s eyes. It didn’t matter if they were shopping for the cute extras that made Adeline totally unique or indulging in a sweet-smelling bath bomb, as long as they were together, all the world was right. Addie knew just when her mom needed a cuddle or one of her extra special hugs and did not mind delivering either.

Please do not be fooled, even though her mom tried to dress her up and make her all sugar and spice and everything nice, Addie was concerned with snakes and snails and puppy dog tails. There was never a doubt that Little Miss Adeline was 100% a “Daddy’s Girl”. It didn’t matter if they were riding tractors or cranes, Addie was content, as long as, she was in Daddy’s hands. There was only a small group of men that was special to Addie, but no one and nothing could compare to the special bond that she had with her Daddy.

Addie could light up a room and take command of it. Her eyes were VERY expressive. When those beautiful eyes gazed into yours, it’s like she was looking into your soul; she would not only touch your heart, but would steal it in an instant. Her smile so sweet, her laughter contagious, her animated and dramatic actions were captively entertaining. Her hugs were unlike any other, they made your heart so thankful for her. She was always wide open, and so unafraid. She has touched so many in her short but so precious 23 months.

When Addie wasn’t stealing hearts and captivating her audience, you could find her making her famous works of art with an array of mediums. From colors to paint dabbers to sidewalk chalk, she was always creating. She also loved her puzzles, bells, phones, it didn’t matter who’s phone, taking selfies, rocking her babies and taking them from rides in her coupe car, and gathering flowers along the way. She would play in her kitchen or build towers. Addie would literally climb anything, people, and furniture…it did not matter. When she wasn’t climbing, you would find her bouncing in her bounce house or sliding over and over on her slide. It really didn’t matter what she was doing, as long as her brothers were by her side. She could always be found splashing in mud puddles and making her world-famous mud pies.

Adeline Grace loved to be the boss! But who could blame her in a sea of rambunctious boys! She had no problem letting her mom, dad, brothers, or anyone else around her know that she thought she should be in control. From shaking her finger and her hand on her hip fussing you in a special language only Addie knew, she certainly knew how to get her point across. In the rare instances when her fingers and words weren’t working, she would occasionally use her teeth…her brothers can testify to that!!

She loved glasses and she was never picky about the prescription or the owner! Sunglasses, reading glasses or Mr. Potato Head’s glasses, upside down...right side up…they were all the same to her…..HERS! Hats were also a favorite of hers, but there were none like Daddy’s.

Addie loved to eat, especially blueberries. But that did not limit her to making herself your uninvited guest at any meal or snack time. Good luck telling her no! She would flash her special grin, and no one could resist her!

Addie lived her life the only way we would expect, WIDE OPEN!. God had a plan and a purpose for our sweet Addie. When He felt our dear Addie fulfilled it as best she could, Jesus called her home. We do not understand it, and never will. But we pray the pain left behind will ease with time. The holes in our hearts, however, will never be filled until we meet our Addie again in Heaven.

Those left to cherish Adeline Grace Disotell’s memory are her dear parents Mickey and Emily Reed Disotell, her three rambunctious brothers, Kase Michael, Mason Cole, and Ervin Lane Disotell; her adoring grandparents William “Pop” and Kimberly “Lovey” Reed; her nannies, Lauren Reed and Lauren “Lala” Satterley; her favorite uncle, Billy Reed; grandparents, Mike and Rochelle Disotell; and her doting great-grandparents, Johnny “Poppa” and Linda “Granny” Reed; Claude “Pop” and Brenda “Mi-Mi” Kaiser; Lonnie “Pop-Pop” and Brenda “Bren-Bren” Williamson.

Among those to welcome sweet Addie home are her older sibling, Paw-Paw Ervin and Maw-Maw Joyce “Shug” Disotell, Big Nanan and Me-Me Ratelle, Mon-Mon and Pop Kaiser, Mon-Mon and Paw Paw Lacobie, Mon-Mon and Paw Paw Lalonde, Mon-Mon and Pop Reed, and as well as, a host of family and many dear friends.

Those honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Mickey Disotell, Lonnie Williamson, Johnny Reed, Claude Kaiser, William Reed, and Billy Reed. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brett Dubroc, Derek Evans, Brennan Plaisance, Jason Satterley and Jason Turner.

Ralph Waldo Emmerson said it best when he said, “It is not the length of life, but the depth of life.” Our Addie added so much depth to our lives in the short amount of time that she was here.
