Krotz Springs- Funeral services for Lawrence “Laurie” Johnson, age 67, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010, in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs followed by interment in the church cemetery. The Reverend Chad Bolfa will conduct the service.

Mr. Johnson who was a native of Bunkie and a resident of Krotz Springs, died at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Opelousas General Health System.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Gail Johnson of Krotz Springs; daughter, Cindy Polotzola and husband Louis of Krotz Springs; brothers, David Johnson and wife Debbie and Von Johnson, all of Krotz Springs; grandchildren, Holly Dollenmayer of Krotz Springs, Brad Polotzola of Port Barre, and Bambie Polotzola of Port Barre; 4 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Mitchel Valin and wife Hazel of Kennesaw, GA and a sister-in-law, Jo Anne Johnson of Krotz Springs.

He is preceded in death by his son Marty Johnson and his parents.

Visiting will be held in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Spring beginning at 2:00 p.m. until service time on Monday, July 19, 2010.
