Opelousas – Funeral services will be held for Jeanette Courville Young, age 76, on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. The Reverend Austin Leger will conduct the services followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Young, a resident of Eunice, La., died on Monday, July 12, 2010, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her daughters, Deanna M. Young of Ville Platte, La.; Cathy Lydia Young Vicknair of Eunice, La.; her brother, Ferdinand Courville of Opelousas, La. and her sister, Hazel Bullara of Opelousas, La. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Kenneth Young; her parents, Aluce Courville and Honora Semar Courville; her son, Wilfred Kenneth Young, Jr.; her daughter, Nora Ann Young Faul; her brother, Jesse Courville; her sister, Marcell Courville and her son-in-law, Harry Vicknair.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will recited on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
